The Container & the Contents

We believe that an exceptional museum (the container) requires both architectural brilliance to construct the building, and curatorial and collecting mastery to develop exhibition and acquisition programming (the contents). Our methodology balances these elements, creating spaces that showcase art while becoming destinations in their own right. Each project begins with your vision and evolves through our proven process.

Museums: Gateways From the Past to the Future

Museums are many things: They are visual libraries, repositories of history and terraformers of the future. Museums join fact and fiction, myth and modernity to foment new ideas and nourish understanding. To support these ideals GMSG offers curatorial and exhibition planning which includes facilitating loans, originating exhibition concepts, collaborating with artists on special events, and accessing prominent works from artists’ estates.

Exhibitions: Understanding Humanity through Shared Experience

The exhibition and dissemination of art can elevate our perceptive and critical faculties, bridge cultural differences, explore solutions, and allow us to contemplate life, and how we navigate it, through a different lens. GMSG is committed to these aspirations, keeping them at the forefront of our exhibition and event planning in all formats from institutional to digital platforms.

Acquisitions: Protecting the Heritage of World Cultures

Collections of art preserve the creative data of humankind. Whether ancient utilitarian objects or NFTs and blockchain technologies, these troves and their caretakers protect our artistic heritage, and make it available to admire and learn from. Should a client wish to establish a collection, or expand an existing one, GMSG can assist in locating individual pieces and entire collections, deftly managing the acquisition process with the utmost sensitivity and discretion.

Core Principles:
What Drives Our Work

Visitor-Centered Design

At the heart of our ethos is the preeminence of the visitor's experience. That is paramount, and it guides us in every architectural, institutional and curatorial consideration.

Cultural Resonance

Across our suite of museum, exhibition and acquisition services our projects reflect and engage with their communities, while encouraging exchange and dialog between regional, national and international stakeholders.

Sustainable Innovation

We balance cutting-edge technologies  and design practice, with impeccable project management standards to build institutions, and programming that become essential components of their social and environmental contexts.

Objects and Ideas

The preservation and display of art, and its capacity to ignite imaginations and inspire new ideas is at the forefront of our work. Whether exploring past, present or future, museums are the vehicles that can take you there.
