Perez Art Museum Miami

mission
The Pérez Art Museum Miami represents a major milestone in Miami’s cultural and urban evolution. Designed by the acclaimed architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, the 213,000-square-foot waterfront museum has not only become a hub for contemporary art but also a catalyst for civic engagement and urban revitalization.
the approach
In its first year, the Perez Art Museum Miami saw over 300,000 visitors—a staggering 350% increase from its previous location’s annual attendance of 60,000. In 2023 alone, the museum generated $41 million in revenue and reached over 215,000 children through its educational programs, affirming its role as an inclusive and impactful cultural institution.
PAMM’s innovative design integrates seamlessly with Maurice A. Ferré Park and the Biscayne Bay shoreline, offering free outdoor gathering spaces and enhancing public life in downtown Miami. Beyond exhibitions, PAMM plays a key role in Art Basel Miami Beach and serves as a creative hub for both local and international communities.

the outcome
PAMM's influence extends far beyond its walls, helping to revitalize its neighborhood and contributing to Miami’s identity as a global arts destination. It is setting a new standard for what museums in the 21st century can be.
